Full color development may not be evident until 2 3 years of age. A ragdoll may have any of six colors recognized by the various breed standard associations.
The ragdoll coat however may differ from other cats of this breed. The ragdoll cathas a soft semi long coat which does not require as regular a grooming as many other long haired breeds. Many ragdolls are seal pointed with a creamy body and light brown colorpoints. The differences are subtle.
Ragdolls are born white unless they are minks and ragdoll patterns and colors come in slowly. The lynx variant in this color has delicate tabby stripes in the seal color sometimes confined to specific parts of the body. Regardless of the color and the type of point of a ragdoll cat its color progression will be different over time.
